Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!

Today they celebrate 29 years of being married. I am truly thankful for my parents. They have showed me the true meaning of love.

My parents met in 1978, at the time my mom was 14 and my dad was 15. They were only kids at the time, however a few years later they got married. They have been together 35 years altogether and they have been through a lot in their relationship. From Gang Members and now Pastors of a church. I have heard many stories of their fights; literally fist fights, and how God saved them. I have only witnessed them being saved and seeing God in their marriage. I am truly thankful that they have shown not only me, but also my brother and sister what it takes to have a God-centered marriage.

They have shown me that no matter how long you have been married your love only grows deeper for one another. My dad is a mushy guy, I know that’s a good thing, he always verbally and physically shows my mom how much he loves her. We all call him the Love Doctor. lol But seriously he has always shown his affection towards my mom since as long as I can remember. There are 3 things that stick out in their marriage. First their love for one another, also their Commitment to each other, and finally their loyalty. I believe one day my marriage will be at least half of what theirs is and more.

Happy Anniversary! Love you both.

I am not a super mom, I am just a mom. I am not perfect but I do my best.

Juggling motherhood, work and ministry is all new to me but with God I will be the mother he wants me to be. I am not super mom. I am not super wife.  But I do strive to be a Proverbs 31 woman. I believe God gave my son to me at a perfect time in my life. He brings so much joy to our family. He has changed my life for the better. God has given us the best gift.

Today he had a Doctor's appointment. He had not been feeling well so I decided to take him. Thank God he only has a cold. My baby is one happy baby, no matter how he may feel he still has a big smile on that cute face. Noah turned 9 months on January 13th. He is growing so fast. He loves to to talk to anyone and everyone. He starting crawling a few weeks ago and is all over the place. Soon he will be walking and keeping me on my feet 24/7. I am Thankful to God for giving me a healthy baby boy!
